What We Can Do for You

LBCHP offers help beyond our no-cost mammograms and Pap tests to help make sure Louisiana women get regular breast and cervical cancer screenings. Our services are listed below and please know that every LBCHP location has a patient navigator whose job is to help you!

See if You Qualify

Age

  • Cervical cancer screening (Pap test): 21 to 64.
  • Breast cancer screening (mammogram): 40 to 64.
  • You can also get help from LBCHP if you’re younger than 40 and having breast symptoms – such as feeling a lump, skin irritation, or other changes.

Income

The participant’s household income must be at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. The Federal Poverty Level and the LBCHP’s maximum allowable income are adjusted annually.

Insurance Status

  • Uninsured: You can get screenings and navigation support.
  • Insured: You can get navigation support. If a needed diagnostic service is not covered by your insurance or you can’t afford your co-pay/deductible, LBCHP can help.

 

Breast & Cervical Cancer Medicaid Program

If you are diagnosed with cancer and received your initial screening through an LBCHP provider, you may qualify for coverage under the Breast & Cervical (BCC) Medicaid Program. You must meet all LBCHP eligibility requirements to qualify. For more information, please visit https://ldh.la.gov/page/breast-cervical-health-program.

Women under Medicare Part B and/or Medicaid are eligible for navigation, but not LBCHP clinical services. LBCHP does not pay Medicare co-pays.
