That’s why the Louisiana Breast & Cervical Health Program (LBCHP) provides these life-saving screenings. If you want more information about preventable cancers, including breast and cervical, go to our umbrella organization, the Louisiana Cancer Prevention & Control Programs (LCP).
If you qualify for LBCHP, we will screen you for breast and/or cervical cancer. Plus we can also help you with any other problem stopping you from getting screened, including:
In addition to providing no-cost mammograms and Pap tests to women without insurance, we also help women, even insured women, with:
We will do what it takes to make sure you can get to your screening.
We have a patient navigator at each LBCHP location whose sole job is to help you with anything that gets in the way of you getting screened, including language obstacles, understanding the hospital system, and more. Our navigators are so helpful and wonderful, they have been named “guardian angels!”
